Located near the Crowsnest Pass in the Rocky Mountains of Southern Alberta , our 4 acre property is home to 3 Shilohs: Timba, Alaska and our newest addition Raya, 2 Border Collies: Jazz & Moose & 2 Parrots: Cookie & Giggs.
Our animals are part of the family, sharing our home & all aspects of our lives. The dogs go everywhere with us: camping, hiking, swimming, horseriding & even come sledding with us in winter.
I grew up in England & I have been involved in breeding & training dogs my whole life, German Shepherds and Border Collies becoming my favourite breeds when I got into Obedience and Agility competition.
My hubby Nick and I moved to Canada from the UK in 2004 bringing with us the two border collies we had at the time, Dylan & Jazz (Dylan has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the grand old age of 17). This was the first time since I was 12 years old that I did not have a German Shepherd in my life and so I set about looking for a new addition to our pack. My search led me to the Shiloh Shepherd, a rare breed that has all of the best attributes of the German Shepherd with none of the undesirable traits that have emerged in that breed - the poor hips, roach backs, unreliable temperaments. The Shiloh Shepherd is a super intelligent, protective, gentle giant of a dog and I knew I had found what I was looking for.
I am a member of the SSDCA Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club of America.
My Shilohs are registered with the ISSR , the only Shiloh registry that is guaranteed to have the authentic Shiloh bloodlines created by the breed founder, Tina Barber.
We have put together a slideshow of the life of our pack just to give you an idea of what a wonderful family member a Shiloh is. You can also keep up to date by checking out our Blogs "The Crowsnest Pack" and "Timbaland Shilohs".
